Join Spencer Pablo and Scott Davenport for each week for a fun, candid, unscripted chat about photography. There may be some rambling, some off-topic tangents, and some good-natured teasing. There will be laughing. Join in.

Unscripted Talks About (Mostly) Photography

Ep. 036: How Much Processing Is Enough?

What does Betty Crocker have to do with photo processing? Gary Friedman will tell you!

In this episode, the Tesla interior is graced by none other than Gary Friedman! Gary is an excellent photographer and photo educator. If you’ve seen his work or read one of his books, you already know this. We jumped at the chance to get Gary in the car for a chat about photography and specifically post processing. How much is too much? What pitfalls do we try to avoid? Is it OK to go “overboard” with software?

It’s a fun conversation with lots of insights from Gary. And stick around to see the mechanical light meter from the 1950s! (Yup… Gary’s a real photographer! :)
